There are many places you can hire a motorbike from on the island. Check below for a complete known list. The general rules that apply everywhere on the island is that the hirer is responsible for the upkeep and condition of the motorbike whilst with the hirer. Check for defects before you take the bike out to avoid situations where you get charged for damage that was already on the bike. Some places offer contracts where everything is in black and white and this is the safest way to protect your rights. Rates vary widely as does condition. Helmets are seldom worn so are usually not offered with the bike.

Most resorts will have locals who have bikes available on a private basis and not through the resort. Rates start at P150 - P200 a day if you take the bike for 7 or more continuous days hire. Typically a days hire will cost P250 - P350. Some places offer half day and hourly hire. Full payment is expected in advance unless you negotiate otherwise.
