Bantayan Island Bantayan

From October 2009 Ticketyboo Beach Resort will be offering chartered fishing trips. Prices to be announced nearer the time but plans are for a range of fishing excursions offering bottom, trolling, squid and drift (live/dead bait) fishing around the waters of Bantayan. Recent patterns show the return of medium sized game fish such as Marlin, Tuna and Swordfish.

Proposed Fishing Trips

[A] Bottom Fishing/Trolling 05.15 - 10.15 (5hrs)

Expect to catch Pugapo, La Gao and Tanigue

[B] Night Squid Fishing 17.45 - 21.15 (3.5hrs)

Expect to catch Squid - Lots of Squid!

[C] Big Game Fishing 04.30 - 12.30 (8hrs)

Expect to hook some Tuna, Marlin and possibly some Swordfish

[D] Fishing Weekend Fri - Mon (58hrs)

Expect to hook lots of exciting fish but we recommend you take the week off after this trip to recover as its definitely hardcore!

Beginners are welcome as full training will be given.

Initially the fishing trip will be organised by demand but eventually the plan is to run daily. Guests can be picked up from their resort by appointment and returned home after the event. Minimum persons is 2 but prices per person will become cheaper the bigger the party. Maximum of 8 persons.

An alternative fishing excursion will be a 3 hour squid night excursion. Leaving around 6pm to catch the sunset whilst sailing towards the fishing area this trip will operate once a week to begin with, will include unlimited water and limited beers throughout the trip. Bait and tackle included and pick up/drop off service is provided free. A snack is also provided. Prices to be announced -

Medium - Big Game Fishing

Details to be announced closer to the time. Plans to offer rod and line big game fishing experience off the coast of Bantayan Town where anglers are regularly pulling out decent sized Tuna and Blue Marlin. Equipment will be provided and two trips will be offered. Both will be all inclusive and prices will be set accordingly. Choose from a dawn to dusk mammoth experience or of this sounds too much for you a 4 hour taster. Both should run weekly or by demand if necessary. Beginners are welcome as full training will be given.
